BUYING USED INFINITY VOTING MACHINES
The state of South Carolina has recently acquired a statewide
voting system. The counties that have purchased MicroVote
equipment over the passed several years are now trying to sell
their used equipment. We would encourage you to not buy this used
equipment for the following reasons:
- No Warranty - The state of SC cannot
sell this equipment with a warranty and MicroVote will
not warranty these products unless they are thoroughly
inspected by our trained technicians.
- Inspection / Upgrade - In order for
these machines to be used in an election they will need
to be inspected and the firmware upgraded by a MicroVote
employee. The cost for this is $2000 per voting machine
plus the cost of parts. You would receive a limited
warranty with this procedure.
- Shipping / Handling - If you purchase
equipment from SC you will be responsible for shipping
and handling and or transportations costs to get the
equipment to your location.
- No Technical Support - MicroVote will
not provide any technical support for machines not
purchased from us, unless they have been through our
Inspection / Upgrade process.
If you have any questions about this memo or have further
questions about the purchasing of used equipment, please feel
