How do I adjust the
brightness of the display on the Infinity Panel?
After the panel
has been activated for a voter, the voter must
press the buttoned labeled "Voter
Controls" to adjust voter options, including
"brightness." After each voter has
finished voting and pressed "Cast
Vote," the brightness will returned to its
default level.
What happens if there is a
temporary power failure on Election Day?
- If a power
failure occurs while a voter is voting:
when the power returns, the Panel will
resume operation within several seconds.
A siren will sound to alert the poll
workers that a power failure has occurred
during voting. A poll worker will have to
reset the Panel for the voter and allow
them to begin the voting process again.
Since the voter was unable to cast their
vote due to the power failure, their
previous attempt would not have been
recorded. Votes cast by voters will
remain intact.
- If a power
failure occurs while no one is voting:
the Panel will resume normal operation
after the power returns. Votes cast by
voters will remain intact.
What if the printer is not
printing results?
If the printer
is plugged into the Panel and the printer is
off-line, the Panel will sound an alarm when a
poll worker attempts to print a tape. Ensure that
the printer is on-line by observing the light
next to the on-line button. If necessary, turn on
the printer by switching the power switch on the
side. A solid green light on the printer
indicates that the printer is powered up and
ready to print. If there is only a flashing
light, then the power switch is most likely not
set to the "on" position. If a yellow
or orange light is on, then the printer battery
could be low, or the on-line button needs to be
pressed. It's always better to make sure the
printer is plugged into a live power outlet in
addition to the Voting Panel.
NOTE: On the power switch,
means "on" and means "off."
